This picturesque convoy, impelled for a steam locomotive, it drag waggons heating by stoves to firewood, traveling landscapes of great beauty in a serpentine trip between mountains. The possibility of returning at the beginning of last century, in this small rolling museum, it is the delight of the travelers that from the station of Esquel, take for the valleys and patagonic plateaus in their tourist journey until the Nahuel Pan Station (take two and a half hours) and in their public regular frequencies between Esquel to El Maitén (trip of six hours of duration).
National and foreigners tourists enjoy this unforgettable experience of traveling in the Old Expressed Patagónic in the 165 km. of traveling current. The stations are: Esquel and El Maitén are the terminals, Lepa: intermediate, the other stages are: Leleque, Mayoco, La Cancha and Nahuel Pan. During the trip you can observe the patagonic stepp, some rivers and a great amount of sheep surround the landscape; between Leleque and Nahuel Pan is possible to see flocks of guanacos and ñandues near the railroad.
The end of the itinerary is carried out of more than 700 meters high, trafficking rocky hillsides of the valley of the Esquel stream. The panoramic view of the city indicates that the end of the journey arrives: Esquel whose station conserves the original style of when it was created. |
