Located in the Valley 16 of October at 22 Km away from Esquel by the Route Nº 259, Trevelin was the point of beginning of the Welsh colonization in the mountain range. One of the development of the colonists was the Flour Mill, built with stone, which comes the name of the town (Trevelin means 'Town of the Mill' in Welshman). Today the Mill is a museum, harboring countless objects of the last century.
It is a beautiful village of small houses that continues keeping the traditions of their old residents. It has hostels, cabins and campings, restaurants, houses of Wales Tea and such attractiveness like sale of crafts, chocolates, sweet and regional cheeses.
Trevelin offers several sports activities like floating, rafting, mountainbike, horseriding and sport fishing. Also, you can do a lot of traditional trips like Los Alerces National Park, the Welsh road and others.
