Located at 213 Km. to the north from El Calafate, inside Los Glaciares National Park, between the fork of De Las Vueltas and Fitz Roy Rivers.
In Mapuche language means 'Mountain of Smoke' or 'Volcano,' because the Fitz Roy or Chalten Hill, generally is covered with clouds.
